Giving a break up of the offenses, Rajeev Narain Mishra, SP (Traffic) said, 3,922 cases were of jumping red light, 11,725 of not wearing helmet, 959 over speeding, 7,339 without seat belt, 1,302 no parking cases, 997 faulty number plates, 1,204 wrong side, 601 triple riding, 407 without DL, 1,005 without pollution certificate, 236 black films, 33 hooters, 14,955 other violations.
A total of Rs 56,49,950 was collected as fine from the violators.
"In this road safety month, our education team visited 43 different institutions of the city and educated more than 40,000 students about the traffic rules," he said.
