"The hand-held sound monitor was used to check the decibels and we have found that they were within the limit," Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) chairman Jose Manuel Noronha told PTI today.
The high-octane musical extravaganza was organised from December 27-30 at Vagator beach.
The GSPCB was asked to monitor the sound pollution levels by the National Green Tribunal.
Noronha said the sound levels were checked near main stage and at residential areas close to the venue of the event.
The official said the maximum decibel level in the residential area was recorded on the first day of the festival but that too was within the permissible limits.
