Nomadic people in the country need better education for their upliftment in the society, Chairman of National Commission for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (NCDNST) Bhikhuram Idaty today said.
Idaty, who is also the Chief of RSS' Social Harmony wing, is on a tour to Jaipur-Prant for four days and today met representatives of nomadic castes, including Sansi, Bhopa, Nut, Bhat, Gardiya Lohar and Kalbelia, according to an official statement here.
Problems and issues of every community and castes under NCDNST were same, and they required better education for upliftment in the society, he said.
Without proper education, their problems and issues could not be resolved, he added.
No concrete efforts were made since independence to raise the life style and living conditions of nomadic people, he said.
