Nominations filed from Rajahmundry, Kadapa and Vijayawada

Twenty nomination papers (four for Lok Sabha and 16 for assembly seats) were filed by different party candidates in East Godavari district here today.
The 16 nominations filed today brings the total number of nominations for assembly seats to 21.
Former Congress minister Thota Narsimha who joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) filed two sets of nomination papers for the Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency.
Another Congress minister P Viswaroop who joined YSR Congress filed two sets of nomination papers for Amalapuram Lok Sabha seat, while Sangisitti Srinivasa Rao of Pyramid Party of India filed nomination for the Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat.
Meanwhile, district collector and election officer Neetu Prasad said in a statement that affidavits of candidates who filed nominations for Lok Sabha and assembly seats have been displayed on the notice board.
In Kadapa, seven nominations were filed today, among which two nominations were filed for Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency and five nominations were filed for assembly constituencies.

YSR Congress nominee for Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency Y S Avinash Reddy, the brother of YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy filed his nomination papers.
In Vijayawada, Lok Sabha constituency candidate Koneru Rajendra Prasad filed his nomination.
He submitted four sets of nomination papers to Returning Officer J Murali at the sub-collector's office.
Later, he released a constituency manifesto in the presence of YSR Congress honorary president Y S Vijayamma.
Earlier, he led a huge rally from his office near Benz circle to the sub-collector's office.
