Normal life returns to Jammu after 6-day bandh

Normalcy returned in Jammu with reopening of shops and business establishments after 6-day long bandh over demand of setting up of an AIIMS in Jammu.
The schools and educational institutions also reopened along with other universities here today.
AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) made it amply clear that the bandh observed by the people of entire Jammu region for six consecutive days has given a very clear cut message to the government that the people will not rest till the establishment of full-fledged AIIMS in Jammu.
However, hunger strike of ACC entered 16th day today.
"To decide the further course of action with only one target of establishment of full-fledged AIIMS in Jammu, ACC will hold a meet at High Court Bar Complex on Saturday", ACC Chairman Abhinav Sharma said.
He appealed to all the constituents to be present at the meet, which would take the final call on future course of action.
ACC suspended the bandh call following centre kick-starting the process of the identification of the land of 200 acres for establishment of AIIMS in Jammu.
