Normalcy returns at edu institutions in Manipur after 58 days

Regular classes in educational institutions in Manipur, which were suspended following the death of a class XI student in police action during an agitation demanding implementation of Inner Line Permit system in the state, resumed today after a gap of 58 days.
The classes resumed following disposal of the mortal remains of Sapam Robinhood, a student of Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School in Manipur's Imphal East district, who was killed in police action on July 8 last during the agitation, a state government official said.
Regular classes were held at educational institutes including both private and government-run schools, colleges, Manipur University, Central Agricultural University, NIT, ITI, Institute of Co-operative Management and others, he said.
Agitations demanding implementation of Inner Line Permit system in Manipur started on June 26 last normal activities in educational institutions were hampered since then.
