A slogan writing competition was organised by North District Election Office at Delhi University's North Campus as part of efforts directed at achieving an increase in the voter turnout for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.
The initiative, part of an Election Commission programme called Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), aims, as its name suggests, at improving the turnout on voting day.
"Students, teachers and principals of major DU colleges, including Kirori Mal, Hindu, Hans Raj, Miranda House and Shree Ram College of Commerce extended their support in organising the competition," said an official.
The contest, which ran from Oct. 4 to 18, will see prizes being given away for slogan and tagline writing, the official added.
