Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today, in the Delhi Budget 2014-15, spelt out a roadmap for economic recovery by bringing civility in tax regime, maintaining low rates, rationalising subsidy system and boosting infrastructure and housing.
The budget estimate of Rs 36,776 crore has something for every sector and people of all income groups, North Delhi Mayor Yogender Chandolia said.
The Mayor in a statement hailed the announcement of opening of 50 dialysis centres, six hostels for working women, super-speciality hospital in Rohini area in north Delhi, and four new sewage treatment plants.
"The Finance Minister has given a considerable relief to small power consumer by providing subsidy. No new tax is also one of the highlights of the budget," he said.
Chandolia added that the Finance Minister has announced construction of long-pending 'Renuka Dam' on priority basis to to solve water problem in the capital region.
