Lt Gen Parnaik was accompanied by General Officer Commanding (GOC), Chinar Corps, Lt Gen S A Hasnain, during his visit to the LoC in Kupwara sector, said a spokesman of the Northern Command.
He was briefed on operational preparedness and the situation on the Line of Control by GOC, Chinar Corps.
Lt Gen Parnaik also interacted with troops deployed on the Line of Control in high altitude areas, the spokesman said.
The Army Commander later interacted with troops deployed in hinterland.
