"I don't see any reason to be afraid of...Had I been afraid of such conspiracies I wouldn't have come to politics," Hasina said while responding to a question.
Citing a report on an alleged conspiracy hatched to topple her government, Hasina said it was the responsibility of the government to make sure such conspiracy cannot take place and affect the people, The Daily Star reported.
In reply to another question about Zia's threat to launch a political movement after the Eid-ul Azha, the prime minister asked the Bangladesh Nationalist Party leader not to create any situation in the name of movement that might cause sufferings to people.
She said the BNP leader made a political mistake and she herself has to pay for that mistake, and reiterated that her government cares little about BNP's threat.
