Noted social worker Viswanathan dies

Noted social worker K Viswanathan, recipient of Padmashree in 2007, died due to age related illness here today, family sources said.
The 86-year-old Viswanathan is survived by his wife and three daughters.
Popularly known as "Mitraniketan" Viswanathan, he was undergoing treatment for certain ailments at a private hospital here.
He launched the Mitraniketan, a community net-work organisation at Vellanad near here in 1956.
