"Sehwag is a phenomena. He is a miracle. Nothing is over. Sehwag is an institution. Which opener used to bat at number seven and became an opener and made 2500 with an average of 50," Sidhu said of the out-of-favour India player.
"Sehwag is an impact player. Match winner, I don't think he is finished. He has got another couple of years left in him. If he has the desire, he can put the world on his side. He has the ability," he told reporters during the launch of his website, 'Sherry on Topp'.
Sehwag was dropped for the last two Tests against Australia in March and was also excluded from the list of 30 probables for the Champions Trophy.
In eight Test matches since April 2012, he has managed to score just 408 runs at an average of 31.38, with 117 being his best. In six ODIs, in the same period, he scored 183 runs at an average of 30.5 and was dropped for the series against England.
