Notice to IAS officers: Cong leader slams Chhattisgarh govt
Press Trust of India Raipur AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad today criticised Chhattisgarh government for issuing notices to IAS officers for not following the dress code while receiving Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit in Bastar region, saying,"it is hegemony and shameful act of the government."
He also said the officers should have been appreciated for serving in the insurgency-hit region where bureaucrats hardly want to get posted.
"It is hegemony and shameful act of the Chhattisgarh government," Rajya Sabha MP Hariprasad told reporters when asked to comment on the issue.
He further said, "it is unbecoming of a Prime Minister. He should have appreciated those IAS officers for working in Bastar and Dantewada because no officers want to go there. If somebody wants to serve in that place he should get appreciation instead of being given a notice, it is shameful for Chhattisgarh government."
Last week, Chhattisgarh government had slapped notices on Bastar Collector Amit Kataria and Dantewada Collector K C Devsenapati, who had received Modi during his visit to the state on May 9, for not following "proper dress code".
