Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari told a press conference that the Kejriwal government was "deliberately" withholding the delimitation of the zones of the three civic bodies to avenge its defeat in the MCD polls.
A Delhi government official accused the BJP-run corporations of attempting to "illegally restructure" the zones to suit the party's interests.
So, the government has returned the proposal to the BJP, the official, who did not wish to be named, said.
"It is affecting the work of the corporations. We have repeatedly requested the government to clear the proposal. But till date, it is stuck. We have not been able to constitute the statutory committees and other panels of the corporations," the Delhi BJP president said.
