The former cricketer's sporting exploits are set to be the focus of a new TV film and his off-field romance with the "Bedazzled" actress would also feature heavily in the project, reported Contactmusic.
Australia's Channel 9 are planning the movie, which could also be exported over to the UK, following on from the success of "Howzat!", a miniseries loosely based on Warne, 42.
The sequel to "Howzat!" is being fast-tracked and casting will soon be underway to find stars to play Warne, Hurley and the sportsman's ex-wife Simone Callahan, with who he has children Brooke, 14, Summer, ten, and 13-year-old Jackson.
"From a casting perspective, there's a huge amount of potential there. But finding the right actors is key because these are characters that much of the Australian public have grown up with," a source said.
