Superstar Jeet, doing promotions for his upcoming flick Bachchan, has one time wish - to be cast opposite Big B in a film.
Jeet, happy with the way the Bollywood Sahenshah had tweeted in favour of the film's title track Bachchan , recalls how he was received by Amitabh during a trip to his Juhu residence.
"At that time, there was no plan to make a film sharing his name but he saw stills and shots of some of my works with interest and praised the same. He even tweeted on that night. Bachchan happened much afterwards which was a Raja Chanda idea and I play myself in the sense that I am a Big B fan on screen and in real life," Jeet told PTI here.
"My ultimate aim is to feature alongside my adolesecent era idol in a future film which can be in either language (Bengali/Hindi or both) and any director of repute," Jeet said to a question.
"We are humbled with Mr Bachchan praising the music and even tweeting about that. We would love to invite him for a special screening of the film after September 26 release," Jeet said.
"He has changed and evolved as an actor over the years and that is the most elevating part for any actor," Jeet continued in his effusivre praise for the Deewar actor.
Director Raja Chanda, having directed Prosenjit Chatterjee in Force and Jeet in Bachchan back-to-back, said he believed in making populist films which can be variously described as mainstream, formula, commercial whatevwr.
"From Bumbada to DEv to Jeet had worked with every reigning actor. For me the script comes first and then casting. And you add N K Salil's rocking dialogue which becomes a trademark in such flicks, Raja, having gifted a string of hits including Dev-starrer Rangbaz one year back, said.
Produced by Reliance Entertainment and the actor-producer's own Grassroot Entertainment, Bachchan has two chart topper songs- folksy-contemporary fusion' Sundori Komola' by Jeet Ganguly and sensational 'Tatka Priya Marie' by Jeet-the actor himself.
"I play a small role in Bachchan. But I have told Jeet-da must give me a bigger role in his future production," Anjan Dutta's 'Sesh Bole Kichhu Nei' actor Subhasree said. Subhasree featured in a dance number. I am a poor dancer and my female-co actors taught me the steps," quipped Jeet.
