Airports Authority of India (AAI) will soon have more lady fire fighters among its ranks, as it pursues the policy of equal employment opportunities.
"Congratulations to Taniya Sanyal for becoming the first lady fire fighter of AAI," it said in a tweet.
The state-owned AAI manages more than 120 airports and currently has around 3,700 fire fighters.
AAI Chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra said it is following the government's policy of equal employment opportunities.
