NPA director Aruna Bahuguna retires

Aruna Bahuguna, Director, of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (NPA) demitted the office on attaining superannuation today.
Before becoming Director of the Academy, the 1979-batch IPS officer held the charge of Special Director General of CRPF.
According to an official statement, in her professional career, spanning over 39 years, Bahuguna served the State of undivided Andhra Pradesh in various positions as ADGP (Coordination), IGP (Police Computer Services and Human Rights Cell), DGP (State Disaster Response and Fire Service), ADGP (Training).
She also held several challenging assignments in Intelligence Bureau and with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

In the specially convened ceremonial parade, she received salute from 139 IPS probationers currently undergoing training in the Academy.
