Immediate measures were needed to end "political blackmailing" and uncertainties in the country and let the people, particularly the youth, elect the Parliament of their choice, said NPP chairman Bhim Singh in a letter addressed to the Prime Minister.
"The only way out to save India from a social unrest is to go for immediate dissolution of the Parliament, leaving it for the electorate to decide which agenda they would like to support," Singh said.
Taking a dig at the coalition system, Singh said: "The coalition system works only when there is a common agenda for the welfare of the people and the leadership is honest."
"Each political group and party in the coalition has its own roadmap and is more interested in its own survival than of the democracy," claimed Singh.
He also said the people should decide on allowing FDI in retail, which is one of the major reasons for the present political upheaval.
