NRDC pays Rs 5 crore royalty to CSIR, DSIR

The National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) today gave Rs 5 crore, earned through royalty by technology transfer, to Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
NRDC Chairman and Managing Director H Purushotham handed over a cheque of Rs 5,42,12,323 to the Secretary, DSIR and Director General, CSIR Dr Girish Sahni as their share of Premium and Royalty collected on the technology transferred by NRDC, a statement said.
Speaking on this occasion Sahni, said that NRDC has served the country by taking various technologies through various stages of development to the stakeholders, that have a great role to play in the future of this country.
He also asked NRDC to look for development of socially relevant technologies both within this country as well as many parts of the world.
