The national council meeting of the outfit, held here the other day, suggested that the government work out schemes for the returnees by utilising their capabilities, expertise, experiences and investment.
The meeting also wanted guidance centres to be set up in various states to advise overseas Indians on making investments in productive sectors, the outfit's general secretary Attakoya Pallikandy said in a statement.
The meeting also decided to explore possibilities of setting up an industrial complex in Maharashtra to rehabilitate returnees, Pallykandi said.
