militant outfit NSCN (K) identified as Maringmei Nelson alias Gaisenlung (37) was arrested in Manipur's Imphal West district, a press release by Manipur police said.
Investigation revealed that he had served demand letters and extorted huge amount of money from Railway Project Companies working in Manipur's Tamenglong district, the release said.
He was also involved in an ambush on Assam Rifles convoy at Nungba Bazar in the first week of October, 2015 last, the release added.
He was handed over to the Imphal police station for further investigation, the release further said.
