NSE Emerge lists 10oth SME

: With the listing of ANI Integrated Services, the number of companies on the Emerge, the dedicated NSE platform for small and medium enterprises hit the 100- level mark today.
These 100 SMEs have raised over Rs 1,400 crore of equity capital. These firms are from various sectors, including consumer goods, textiles, pharma, fertilisers, services, and information technology.
Commerce minister Suresh Prabhu, who was at the NSE to celebrate the 100th listing, said,"the SME sector is the backbone of the economy and this sector, if extended the right support, has the potential to contribute significantly to the country's growth."
SME trading platform is designed as a viable option for efficient capital raisingby the SMEs.
PNB MetLife extends life cover up to 99 yrs
Private life insurer PNB MetLife has extended the coverage limit of its product Mera Term Plan to 99 years.
Curently, the life coverage age limit was of 75 years, the company said.
"With increasing life expectancy in India, consumers may want coverage at later years to ensure their dependents are taken care of or to leave a legacy for their family. So, extending the life cover in this product ensures that one can remain protected up to the age of 99 years," PNB MetLife's Khalid Ahmad said.
