The signing of the framework agreement between the NSCN(IM) and the Centre was today hailed by former Naga Students Federation president Achumbemo Kikon.
"With the signing of the framework agreement, the Naga people are once again assured of some honourable solution to the Naga political problem, which is already in the offing," Kikon said at a function celebrating the "69th Naga Independence Day".
He said that since the basis for solution to the protracted Naga political issue had been laid, it would be proper if the NSCN leadership initiated consultation, debate and discussion to evolve a consensus within the Naga family before the final agreement.
