The move is aimed at exchanging knowledge on mobile broadband-related security research among telecom operators, research partners and authorities.
The centre, which will be fully operational in the second half of 2014, will create a platform for knowledge exchange on mobile broadband-related telco security research, NSN said in a statement.
Mobile networks are a critical infrastructure with high impact on public welfare and as the number of reported incidents grows, their protection requires dedicated efforts, it added.
The centre will also allow end-to-end security testing for multi-vendor mobile broadband environments.

"We want to engage in a dialogue with the telco security community and contribute our broad experience in protecting Mobile Broadband networks," NSN Germany Managing Director Hermann Rodler said.
NSN will leverage its existing expertise and partner ecosystem to increase end-to-end security in mobile broadband today and drive forward 5G security concepts and standardisation, Rodler added.
End user security is becoming more and more critical as mobile communications are increasingly exposed to malware and other threats.
NSN said it has carried out more than 500 successful security projects worldwide and has a team of services and security experts.
