The government is likely to release the findings of NSSO consumer expenditure survey 2017-18 by June next year, which will form the basis for calculation of absolute poverty, Parliament was informed today.
The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has completed the data collection related to consumer expenditure survey 2017-18 in June this year, Minister of State for Planning Rao Inderjit Singh said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
"After completing the activities of data processing, verification and validation, generation of results etc, the final results are expected to be released within an year -- by the end of June, 2019," Singh said.
He was responding to question asked if the findings of the NSSO consumer expenditure survey 2017-18 was released.
