"... I hereby propose creation of a Indian National Cyber Registry. The INCR will be a national repository of IT professionals," National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) Chairman Alok Joshi said at cyber security event Ground Zero Summit 2015.
The event was inaugurated by Home Minister Rajnath Singh who too expressed concerns on growing threat in cyber space.
Joshi further said that the INCR will help identifying existing resources in cyber domain through a transparent and credible system as well as develop a channelised resource base through a system of mentoring and nurturing.
"Today India has one of the largest number of information technology professionals in the world and they form a large chunk in the Silicon Valley. It is, however, sad but a harsh reality that we do not Make for ourselves," Joshi said.

At the event, Jain shared a report of cyber security researchers which showed phones of Army personnel, who had downloaded some mobile application related to news, had been compromised by hackers based in Pakistan.
"This shows there is massive development in Pakistan's cyber capability and we need to prepare ourselves to overcome challenge," Jain said.
Lt General AK Sahni General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of South Western Army Command, at the event, said that the incident took place long back and quick action was taken.
"It's not about one malware affecting us. We are aware of fact that any malware or vulerability in technology can affect us. We have to find answer how we address them collectively. First, we have to look at using domestically developed product then we have to cautious," Sahni said.
"We can't deny use of technology to a person but at the same time we have strict guidelines. More than malwares, leak happens through social networking sites and when we come across it strict punitive action against those found guilty," Sahni said.
