Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) today exported a consignment of 2,283 MT Gas oil (diesel) to Bangladesh from the refinery's Marketing Terminal at Siliguri in West Bengal, a company statement said.
The railway rake will travel via Radhikapur (India) and Birol (Bangladesh) border and unloaded at Parbatipur Depot of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, the NRL release said.
This is the fourth Railway rake despatch of High Speed Diesel (HSD) to Bangladesh since 2016 and is the outcome of discussion and affirmative relationship between the two governments.
The despatch follows the flag off of a goodwill rake containing 2,284 MT of HSD from NRLs Siliguri Marketing Terminal to Bangladesh in April this year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina through remote device from New Delhi.
NRL plans to export three more rakes during October 2017 as per the requirement of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, the release added.
