Observer Peace Foundation awards 27 dignitaries

Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh today gave away 'Observer Young India Excellence Awards' to 27 dignitaries for their work in various social sectors.
Observer Peace Foundation, a trust dedicated to the cause of building ideal society, organized the programme.
Singh congratulated the recipients of the award. He remembered Mahatma Gandhi after releasing a book by Dr Amar Jyoti Singh titled 'Usefulness of Gandhian Philosophy in Rural Development.'
The Foundation conferred 'Observer Lifetime Achievement Award 2015' to 18 eminent personalities for their contribution in various fields like medicine, education, social service, police, women empowerment etc.
The 'Observer Young India Excellence Award 2015' was given to nine personalities for their inspirational contribution in their respective fields.
Dr Indukant Dixit, Principal Correspondent, BHASHA, Ranchi, and Shweta Thakur, a correspondent of 'The Week' magazine were some of the winners of this category.
