With the capital set to implement the odd-even scheme next week, Indraprastha Gas Ltd today said it will issue special stickers for CNG-run vehicles at its select fuel outlets.
Private vehicles being run on CNG have been exempt from the 5-day 'odd-even' scheme beginning Monday under which cars will be allowed on roads based on whether their number plates are odd or even.
In a statement, IGL said the CNG stickers issued by it in the previous two rounds of odd-even would be valid.
"For the convenience of those driving CNG cars, not having authorized stickers, IGL would be issuing stickers from 2 pm to 10 pm daily from Friday, November 10, 2017 onwards at 23 select CNG stations," it said.
Delhi government announced the odd-even scheme as toxic smog hung over the national capital for the third day today, worsening the air quality.
IGL said original vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) having CNG endorsement and valid hydrotest certificate/valid compliance plate would have to be shown for getting the sticker for exemption from odd-even rule.
The sticker will be pasted on the windshield of the CNG- run vehicles.
