Meanwhile, the Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra of Congress raised the issue relating to violation of law while introducing any bill. Though the Orissa Official Language Act, 1954 had provision of circulating Bill copy in Odia language, the same was not being done by the government, Mishra claimed.
The members of both the opposition and treasury bench admitted that Bills were being circulated in English language. All of them agreed that the Bills, notices and motions should also be circulated in Odia along with English copies.
Pujari said he was aware about the concern of the members and would soon give his ruling on the matter.
