Odisha CM stresses on reforms for ease of doing business
Press Trust of India Bhubaneswar In its bid to further increase ease of doing business in Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today asked authorities to undertake required reforms and implement e-biz and combined inspection framework system by February 16 next year.
The direction was given by the chief minister while reviewing the reform process in the ease of doing business here.
The approval for different industries should be done online in order to smoothen the facility, he said.
Inspection of industries by different departments will be done at one time and on one day, Patnaik said adding the concerned industries will be given the inspection report within 48 hours.
Though Patnaik expressed satisfaction over the reforms undertaken by the State Pollution Control and Prevention Board, Commercial Tax Directorate and Labour and Employees Insurance department for ease of doing business, he asked the departments of revenue, law, housing and urban development and energy departments to activate their reform works.
Though Odisha is placed in the seventh position among states in the ease of doing business, Patnaik wanted that it should go to the top three states.
