Odisha government today identified 15 sectors as focus areas for overall development of the state.
Chief Secretary A P Padhi directed the district authorities to ensure Minimum Guaranteed Service (MGS) in the remotest areas and establish service delivery connectivity to all areas.
The 15 major focus areas include Mission Shakti, rural electrification, sanction of relief under Chief Ministers' Relief Fund, Internet connectivity to gram panchayats, use of social media, inclusion and exclusion under National Food Security Act and others.
Implementation of the 'Unnati' programme in urban areas, computerisation of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies and revitalising the state run Industrial Training Centres are also among the focus areas, Padhi said.
On empowerment of Mission Shakti Groups, Padhi said the districts have been suggested that these groups should not be confined to mere borrowing, lending and some economic activities.
"They should be oriented towards social mobilisation," he said.
