Odisha, MPHA complete semifinals list of junior women hockey

Hockey Odisha and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy (MPHA) registered easy wins to enter the last-four stages of the 4th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship (Division A) at Chamundi Vihar Hockey Ground here today.
While Haryana will meet Jharkhand, Hockey Odisha will take on Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy in the semifinals on Saturday.
In Pool B, MPHA completed their third consecutive win of the tournament after beating Bhopal 4-0.
Rakhi Prajapati (9th minute), skipper Priyanka (20th) Wankhede, Suman Devi (21st) and Preeti Dubey (69th) scored for MPHA.
Hockey Odisha completely dominated Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd to register a 4-0 victory in Pool D.
For Odisha, Sarojini Ekka (34th and 63rd) scored twice while a goal each came from the stick of Elima Minz (26th) and Domnica Kujur (45th).

Meanwhile, Punjab routed Bihar 8-0 in another Pool D match, but failed to secure a semi-final berth.

Pool D - Punjab 8 Ruchi Batta (2 min), Sandeep Kaur (4 min), Rajbir Kaur (9, 13 and 33 min), Parmjit Kaur (22 min), Ranjana (33 min) and Rajwinder (41 min) Vs. Bihar 0.
Pool B - Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy 4 Rakhi Prajapati (9 min), Priyanka Wankhede (20 min), Suman Devi TH (21 min) and Preeti Dubey (69 min) Vs. Bhopal 0.
Pool D - Hockey Odisha 4 Sarojini Ekka (34 and 63 min), Elima Minz (26 min) and Domnica Kujur (45 min) Vs. Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd 0.
