As part of its endeavour, the crime branch of the state police is holding a two-day state-level workshop here from Friday on anti-human trafficking matters for its trainers, said a press release issued here today.
It may be mentioned here that at least 12 integrated anti-human trafficking units (IAHTU) are functioning across the state to keep a vigil at vulnerable locations to curb human trafficking.
Similarly, ever since child missing cases are treated as kidnapping and trafficking by police stations, the rescue rate of these missing cases has increased significantly.
For this outstanding result in human trafficking matters, state crime branch IGP Y B Khurania was recently commended by the Union Home Ministry at New Delhi, they said.
Sources said eminent resource persons are scheduled to participate in the workshop to share their suggestions for improving the work done by the state police in anti-human trafficking matters.
