Senior officers in Odisha will new be marked in 'green' and 'red', based on their ability to redress grievances, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said.
Dedicating a social media grievance cell and a mobile app to the people for grievance redressal and management at the state secretariat here, Patnaik said the officers with better grievance redressal performance will be marked by the mobile app as green and those with below average performance as red.
The chief minister said he would call both the 'green' and 'red' marked officers to thank them or suggest improvements, as the case may be.
"This new social media grievance handling system perfectly encapsulates the principles of 3Ts Technology, Teamwork and Transparency, and combines them to address the issues faced by the common citizens directly and efficiently," Patnaik said.
It will also be a measure of the government's sensitivity and empathy towards citizens needs and concerns, he said.
Electronics and IT Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera said OCAC (Odisha Compute Allocation Centre) and IT Department have coordinated to develop the social media grievance cell and mobile app.

All Collectors, SPs and Secretaries can now use it with the required user ID and password. There will be a notification along with a timeline. Whether the grievance has been attended to within 24 hours or not can be known and accessed by the Chief Minister on his dash board, he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Ministers followers on Twitter have touched 1.5 million. His combined social media connectivity, on both Twitter and Facebook, is more than two million, an official release said today.
