Official arrested while accepting a bribe in Krishna district

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Housing Assistant Engineer K Ganeswara Rao while he accepted a Rs 10,000 bribe in his office at Koduru in Krishna district today, official sources said.
ACB DSP V Gopalakrishna told PTI that the official had allegedly demanded Rs 12,000 to sanction the housing bill amount to a beneficiary.
Later, the beneficiary's son agreed to pay the amount and approached the ACB which caught the official red-handed after which he was arrested.
