University sources said depositions by five witnesses in this regard has been collected by the university Deputy Registrar A.C Babu today.
Babu submitted his preliminary enquiry report to examination controller Thomas John Mampara, who will forward the same to the syndicate with his findings, they said.
According to witnesses, Jose had allegedly hidden bit notes of photostat copies of various lessons in his handkerchief for copying at the examination centre yesterday.
Evidence was collected from those on duty at the off campus centre at St Paul's college at Kalamassery in kochi where the copying incident allegedly took place.

As news about the incident spread, Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala directed Jose to proceed on compulsory leave immediately.
However, Jose had rejected the charges against him and said a conspiracy had been hatched to tarnish his image.
"The incident is an insult to Kerala and Kerala police. The IGP has been asked to go on compulsory leave immediately", Chennithala had told reporters at Kozhikode yesterday.
Additional DGP (North) Shankar Reddy has been asked to investigate the incident and file report as early as possible.
