Officials asked to take precautionary steps to fight flood in

With the onset of the monsoon, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum district Amitabh Kaushal today directed district officials and companies to take all precautionary measures to ensure 'zero casualty' and minimum loss of property in case of flash flood during this period.
Kaushal has given the direction to the district officials including the Mango, Jugsalai and Jamshedpur Notified Area Committees, Swarnarekha Multi-purpose Project (SMP), Jamshedpur Utility and Services Company and Tata Steel at the district-level disaster management meeting here.
The DC also directed the concerned circle officials to evacuate people illegally-settled on river banks or drains and asked officials to repair the faulty sluice gates and keep the control rooms functioning continuously.
