Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), a not-for-profit organisation founded by sports legends Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone, today announced it will be supporting rifle shooters Chain Singh and Elizabeth Koshy.
Chain, a bronze medallist at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, last year, recently broke the national record in the 50m Rifle 3 positions and 50m Rifle Prone events.
The 25-year-old won the gold medal at the 2014 Asian Championships in Kuwait in 10m Air Rifle event before winning the bronze medal at 2014 Asian Games in the 50m Rifle 3 positions event.
Chain will be part of the Indian team for the first three World Cups this year where 2016 Rio Olympic quota places are available, said an OGQ release.
Elizabeth is a promising young shooter who has won multiple medals in the domestic circuit. She is the current national champion in 50m Rifle 3 positions.
The 20-year-old also won a gold medal at the 2015 National Games in Kerala and had also qualified for the final of the 2014 junior world championships in Spain, where she finished eighth in the final.
She will also represent India at the first three World Cups this year.
