"Two OGWs of Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist outfit were arrested yesterday as they were transporting arms and ammunition from the bordering district of Poonch to Srinagar," a senior police officer said.
He said the two accused were arrested from a passenger bus that was on its way to Srinagar from Mandi Tehsil in frontier Poonch district.
"On specific information, we stopped the bus and conducted a search operation and recovered three hand grenades, a pistol and some ammunition," he said.
The two arrested OGWs have been identified as Mohammed Azam and Sikandar Khan of Chapria of Mandi Tehsil and a case under various sections have been registered with the police.
With the tightened anti-terror grid, terrorist outfits are desperate to reinforce their deleting supply of arms and ammunition.
