Ola ties with CRY to enable citizens buy CRY branded goodies

To support over 30 thousand underprivileged children in the city, popular app-based cab service Ola, on the eve of Children's Day, today announced a collaboration with CRY to enable citizens buy CRY branded goodies on demand.
Ola today announced an on-demand contribution drive as a part of which it would introduce a category icon - 'NOV 14', on its app on Children's Day.
"The ('NOV 14') icon will appear as an additional category on the Ola app, where customers can avail the offering at the click of a button, just like they book an Ola cab," a company spokesperson said.
"Customers will be able to buy CRY (Child Rights and You) branded goodies like T-shirts, stationery kits, coffee mugs, cards and photo albums," he stated.
All proceeds from the activity will be donated to CRY, to support their work towards upliftment of underprivileged children in the city, the official elaborated.
The category will be live between noon to 4pm tomorrow and once booked an Ola cab carrying CRY goodies will appear at the customer's location, from which he will be able to purchase the goodies of his/her choice.
"We welcome Ola on their effort towards broadening our reach to the people of Kolkata on this Children's day. Having impacted over 2 million underprivileged children across 23 states in the country over the last 37 years, we hope that this drive will go a long way to raise awareness among the people at large," CRY East Regional Director Atindra Nath Das said.
