Omar govt pursuing 'anti-people' policies: PDP

Opposition PDP today alleged the Omar Abdullah led government of pursuing "anti-people" policies and said the current dispensation has failed to address the day to day issues of the masses.
"Omar led coalition regime has failed to solve day to day problems of common people. During last four years, the situation in J-K has deteriorated, as government has been pursuing anti-people policies," district vice president PDP, Vikram Singh, alleged during an induction function held here.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Singh said PDP will stand with them at every moment and will continue to strive for the basic rights of people.
The prominent among those who joined the party, include Gourav Lochan, Barinder Singh and Irfan Mir among others.
District vice president of the youth wing of the party, Girish Sharma, expressed satisfaction that PDP's agenda of development was now seen positively, not just in Kashmir Valley but in Jammu and Ladakh regions also.
