"We urge the President of India and state Governor to take cognisance of blatant transgressions of the Constitution by state government as it has violated certain sections and appointed ministers through back-door," JKNPP chairman Harsh Dev Singh told reporters here.
Singh said that the Omar government has created certain extra-constitutional authorities in violation of Section 36 and 38 respectively of the Jammu and Kashmir Constitution.
"Section 36 of the state Constitution categorically say that ministers shall be appointed by the Governor while Section 38 points that number of ministers shall not exceed twenty per cent of the total membership of state legislature," the JKNPP leader said.
He alleged that the Omar government has appointed several of its political activists on key positions as advisor and political advisor and conferred ministers status upon them without the approval of the Governor.
