"#BJPDP government has help (held) J&K cricket association elections to have their minister elected chairman (president).Bravo @MehboobaMufti, well done!!!!(sic)," Omar tweeted.
In a series of tweets, he questioned the elections at a time when the Valley is going through unrest triggered by the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani by security forces on July 8.
"With such misplaced priorities is it any wonder that the Valley is in flames. @MehboobaMufti shows once again how totally lost she is," he wrote.
"So what in your opinion should have been done. Invite Farooq (Abdullah) sahib to perform the last rites of cricket in J & K?
