Bajang was given Rs 1 lakh for his silver medal winning effort in the men's freestyle 61kg wrestling event at the Glasgow Games.
Speaking on the occasion Bajrang said, "I am overwhelmed with the appreciation I have received from Omaxe and fellow countrymen for my performance in wrestling.
"We are proud that the Central and State Government and other people have started to recognise our efforts and we need more people to come forward and initiate efforts towards popularising the sport."
