The animal had died due to infection of lungs. Front right paw was injured and maggot-ridden, Forest Ranger Aasif Shehzad said.
This breed of leopard is mostly found in Haridwar-Rajaji Park forests and might have migrated here by mistake, he added.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Veterinary Hospital, Ved Prakash along with a team of four doctors conducted postmortem on the big cat.
The leopard was around one-and-a-half-year-old and the dead body lied there for four to five days, Prakash said.
The dead body of the animal was spotted by a farmer who then called up other villagers and they subsequently informed the local police.

The carcass of the leopard was sent for postmortem to the Veterinary Hospital in Ghaziabad.
Environment expert Vijay Pal Baghel said that from 2010 uptill 2014, four leopards had migrated to cities of Meerut, Babugarh and Sapnavat of Dhaulana.
Three of them had died but one which was seen in Meerut disappeared and could not be traced by forest officials.
This all is happening due to deforestation and lack of habitat and food for them, he said.
