Anand Sharma, a resident of Bajidpur village, was arrested and a tractor-trolley seized from his possession, Sub Inspector Bijendra Pal Singh said.
On a tip-off, the police team raided Pushta area and arrested Sharma while he was carrying out illegal mining, the police official said.
A case has been registered against Sharma and the matter is being probed further, Singh said.
