One arrested in murder case

One person has been arrested for allegedly killing three persons over an old land dispute in Nathapurva village here, police said today.
"The accused identified as Shri Krishna has been arrested but five others including a village head who were also booked in the case are still absconding. A reward of Rs five thousand has been announced on each of them," SSP, Kanpur, K Emanuel said.
Also six police teams have been deployed to nab the culprits and the search is also on in nearby areas.
A clash occurred between groups of village head Ramdas and Pappu Katre (40) on October 23 when both sides opened fire at each other causing death of latter and Dinesh (38) on the spot and injuring four.
Driver of Ramdas, Suresh Saxena (38) who also received bullet injuries died later raising the toll to three.
The SSP said there was an old dispute between both the groups over a piece of land. Situation was tense but under control in Nathapurva, he said, and added that police force of four police stations has been deployed in the area.
