One dead in clash

One person was shot dead and
another injured in a clash between two groups near Babupurwa village this evening, police said.
Few women of Babupurwa and Bhulanpur villages complained that a group of armed persons in neighbouring jungles were molesting and beating two women. Thereafter, the men from the villages surrounded the field and confronted the six attackers, police said.
As one of the armed persons opened fire, a villager Bechu Lal (45) retaliated by attacking an attacker on his head with an axe that left him critically injured, police said adding that Lal was killed in return fire while other attackers fled from the spot.

The injured attackers has been admitted to district hospital in a critical condition.
SP Arvind Sen Yadav and other police officials have rushed to the spot and combing operation has been launched to nab the absconding assailants.
